Abimelech's Rise and Fall

After Gideon dies, his son Abimelech convinces the people of Shechem to back him, then kills 70 of his brothers on a single stone. Only Jotham survives and drops a savage parable about trees choosing a thornbush as king. Three years later, God sends division between Abimelech and Shechem. He burns a tower full of people, then at the next siege a woman drops a millstone on his skull. He makes his armor-bearer finish him off so nobody can say a woman killed him. They say it anyway.
