Their flocks and herds were so massive the land couldn't handle both of them — their herdsmen kept beefing. Abram let Lot pick first (king move), and Lot chose the Jordan Valley because it looked like a paradise. Spoiler: he picked the neighborhood next to Sodom. Down bad decision incoming.
