Paul reasoned in the synagogue for three Sabbaths until the haters formed a mob and the believers had to smuggle him out at night 🌙
After Philippi, Paul rolled into Thessalonica and went straight to the synagogue. For three Sabbaths in a row he laid out the case from the Scriptures: the Messiah had to suffer and rise, and Jesus is the Messiah. A whole bunch of Greek God-fearers and prominent women got saved. The synagogue leaders weren't having it. They rounded up some sketchy guys from the marketplace, started a riot, and stormed the house of Jason — Paul's host. They dragged Jason and some other believers to the city authorities yelling 'these guys are saying there's another king besides Caesar.' Jason posted bond, the believers smuggled Paul and Silas out by night to Berea, and Paul later wrote them two letters (1 and 2 Thessalonians) packed with end-times teaching.
