The Black Obelisk shows Israel's King Jehu literally bowing to Shalmaneser III — the oldest surviving image of any Israelite king, and it's him taking an L.
Around 841 BCE, Shalmaneser III carved a black limestone obelisk showing conquered kings paying tribute. Panel two shows 'Jehu, son of Omri' face-down on the ground bringing gold, silver, and other gifts. It's lowkey the most important artifact for biblical history because it's the ONLY ancient image we have of an Israelite or Judean king. Currently sitting in the British Museum looking iconic.
