The innermost room of the Temple — where God's presence literally dwelled on earth
lightbulbThe innermost room — God's actual address on earth. One person, one day a year, or you die
Also called the Most Holy Place. A perfect cube behind a thick curtain, containing the Ark of the Covenant. Only the High Priest could enter, and only once a year on the Day of Atonement, with sacrificial blood. Anyone else who entered would die. When Jesus died on the cross, this curtain ripped from top to bottom (Matthew 27:51) — God Himself tore it open, signaling that access to His presence was now available to everyone through Christ.
