Son of Zeruiah and brother of Joab and Abishai. Known for being incredibly fast (2 Samuel 2:18). After a battle, he chased Abner relentlessly despite Abner warning him twice to stop. Abner finally killed him in self-defense with the butt end of his spear. His death fueled Joab's vendetta against Abner.
