Second son of Benjamin — head of a tribal clan

About

Ashbel was the second son of Benjamin and grandson of Jacob, listed among the seventy who went down to Egypt with Jacob's family. He founded the Ashbelite clan recorded in Numbers 26:38. His name appears in genealogies in Genesis 46, Numbers 26, and 1 Chronicles 8.
