A son of Simeon — head of a tribal clan

About

Jamin was a son of Simeon and grandson of Jacob, listed among the seventy descendants of Israel who settled in Egypt. He founded the Jaminite clan within the tribe of Simeon. He appears in the genealogies of Genesis 46, Exodus 6, and Numbers 26.
