Head of a Temple servant family — also a family that couldn't prove their Israelite ancestry
Nekoda is a name shared by two distinct families mentioned in the post-exilic lists of Ezra and Nehemiah. One family served as Temple servants (Nethinim) who returned to Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile. A second family bearing the same name could not verify their Israelite lineage and was therefore excluded from the priesthood pending divine confirmation.
