Nimrod

A descendant of Ham through Cush who became the first person in the Bible described as a 'mighty man.' He built the cities of Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh in Shinar, then expanded into Assyria and built Nineveh. He planted the seeds of two empires that would later be Israel's worst enemies.
