Rechab

Along with his brother Baanah, Rechab assassinated Ish-bosheth in his bed and brought his head to David (2 Samuel 4). They assumed David would be thrilled to have his rival eliminated. Instead, David had them executed for killing an innocent man in his own house. David consistently refused to benefit from political assassinations.
