5 days to let it go
Holding grudges is heavy. These five chapters will help you put that weight down.
Start Reading — Day 1: God's Forgiveness Hits DifferentReady when you are.
Before we can talk about forgiving other people, we gotta understand how God forgives US first. David wrote Psalm 51 after getting absolutely exposed for his worst moment — and instead of running, he ran straight to God. No cap, this is the rawest apology in the whole Bible.
Reflect
What's something you've been carrying guilt about that you haven't fully brought to God yet?
Do you actually believe God can make you clean, or do you lowkey feel like some things are too far gone?
Jesus told a story about a dude who got his ENTIRE massive debt wiped clean — we're talking millions — and then immediately went and choked out someone who owed him like twenty bucks. It's giving unhinged. But fr fr, this might be the most convicting parable in the Bible because we ALL do this.
Joseph's brothers literally sold him into slavery, lied to their dad about it, and went on with their lives. YEARS later, Joseph has all the power and every reason to destroy them. What he does instead is straight up one of the most beautiful moments in Scripture. Get your tissues ready.
Paul lays it out real simple in Colossians 3 — you got forgiven, so forgive. Put on compassion, kindness, and patience like you're getting dressed in the morning. It's not optional drip, it's the whole fit. This chapter is basically a lifestyle guide for people who actually take their faith seriously.
This is where it all comes together. Jesus is literally being executed — nails in His hands, struggling to breathe — and He asks the Father to FORGIVE the people doing it to Him. 'They don't know what they're doing.' If that doesn't wreck you, read it again slower. This is the ultimate example of what forgiveness looks like when it costs you everything.
