30 Days Through the New Testament

Luke tells the Christmas story the way it actually went down — not the sanitized Hallmark version. A teenage girl, a sketchy barn, and angels pulling up on random shepherds. No cap, this is wild.

Matthew 3 is where Jesus steps onto the scene for real. John the Baptist is out here being a whole vibe in the wilderness, and then his cousin shows up and the sky literally opens. Iconic.

Matthew 5 is the Sermon on the Mount — Jesus basically said 'everything you thought you knew? Yeah, let me flip that.' Blessed are the meek?? The persecuted?? He was NOT playing.

Matthew 6 is where Jesus drops the Lord's Prayer and tells everyone to stop being performative about their faith. If you've ever been fake about anything spiritual, this chapter is calling you out fr fr.

Matthew 13 is Jesus in storyteller mode and he's COOKING. Seeds, weeds, hidden treasure, pearls — every parable is a whole masterclass in how the Kingdom actually works. Some people heard it and still didn't get it. Don't be them.

Mark 4 has Jesus sleeping through a literal storm while his disciples are PANICKING, then he wakes up and tells the wind to chill. The audacity. The power. This chapter is about who you trust when things get chaotic.

Luke 15 has three back-to-back stories about lost things being found, and the last one — the prodigal son — is straight up one of the most emotional stories ever told. Whether you're the runaway kid or the salty older brother, this one's about you.

John 3 is where Jesus tells a whole religious leader that he needs to be 'born again' and Nicodemus is like '...how do I crawl back inside my mom?' Then Jesus drops John 3:16 — the most famous verse ever. This chapter is bussin.

John 11 — Lazarus is DEAD dead. Four days in the tomb dead. And Jesus shows up late on purpose, cries with the family, then tells a corpse to walk out. If you've ever felt like something in your life is too far gone, read this.

Luke 22 is the beginning of the end — and the beginning of everything. Jesus shares one final meal with his crew, predicts the betrayal, and then goes to pray so hard he sweats blood. The weight of this chapter is unreal.

Matthew 27 is the crucifixion. It's brutal, it's heavy, and it's the most important event in human history. Jesus didn't just die — he was mocked, beaten, and abandoned. Read this one slow.

Matthew 28 — the resurrection. The tomb is empty. The guards are shook. The women find out first. Jesus said he'd be back and he literally came back from the dead. This is the whole reason any of this matters.

Acts 2 is where the Holy Spirit drops and the church LAUNCHES. People speaking in languages they never learned, Peter preaching the sermon of his life, 3,000 people getting saved in one day. The early church was built different.

Acts 7 is Stephen's defense speech before they stone him to death. He literally speed-runs the entire Old Testament, calls out the religious leaders to their faces, and forgives his killers while dying. Absolute legend behavior.

Acts 9 — Saul is out here hunting Christians for sport, and then Jesus literally blinds him on the road and says 'why are you fighting me bro?' The biggest villain becomes the biggest apostle. Nobody's beyond a redemption arc.

Acts 17 — Paul rolls into Athens, sees all these idol statues, and instead of judging, he uses their culture to teach them about Jesus. The 'unknown god' speech at the Areopagus is peak missionary energy. This is how you meet people where they're at.

Romans 8 is arguably the greatest chapter in the entire Bible. Paul goes OFF about how there is NO condemnation, the Spirit helps us when we can't even pray, and NOTHING can separate us from God's love. If you only read one chapter this month, make it this one.

1 Corinthians 13 — the love chapter. You've probably heard it at every wedding ever, but Paul didn't write this for weddings. He wrote it to a messy, divided church that needed to hear that without love, everything else is just noise. Fr fr.

1 Corinthians 15 is Paul's case for why the resurrection isn't optional — it's the ENTIRE foundation. If Jesus didn't rise, we're all just wasting our time. But he did. And that changes literally everything about death.

2 Corinthians 5 — 'if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation.' Paul talks about living for eternity instead of the temporary, being ambassadors for Christ, and the ministry of reconciliation. Your old self? Gone. Deleted.

Galatians 5 — Paul is HEATED about people going back to legalism. He's like 'Christ set you free, stop putting chains back on!' Then he drops the fruit of the Spirit list. Freedom isn't doing whatever you want — it's becoming who you were made to be.

Ephesians 6 — Paul tells the church to suit up because the battle isn't against people, it's spiritual. Belt of truth, shield of faith, sword of the Spirit — this is your loadout. Stop fighting the wrong enemies.

Philippians 4 — Paul writes this from PRISON and he's talking about joy, contentment, and peace that doesn't make sense. 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me' is from this chapter, and it doesn't mean what your gym bro thinks it means.

Colossians 1 — Paul paints the most epic picture of who Jesus actually is. He's before all things, all things hold together in him, and he's the head of the church. If your view of Jesus feels small, this chapter is about to wreck that.

Hebrews 11 is the faith hall of fame — Abraham, Moses, Rahab, and a whole squad of people who trusted God when it made zero sense. These people didn't see the promise fulfilled but they STILL believed. That's real faith, not wishful thinking.

James 2 — James isn't here to play. He calls out favoritism, fake faith, and people who talk the talk but don't walk the walk. 'You believe God is one? Great, the demons believe that too and they're shaking.' Absolute bars.

1 John 4 — John boils the entire faith down to one thing: love. God IS love. If you say you love God but hate people, you're lying. Simple as that. This chapter doesn't let you hide behind theology without action.

Revelation 4 — John gets pulled into heaven and sees the throne room of God. Living creatures, elders throwing down their crowns, constant worship. This is what's happening RIGHT NOW behind the scenes. Prepare to have your mind absolutely blown.

Revelation 21 — the grand finale. New heaven, new earth, no more tears, no more death, no more pain. God says 'I am making everything new.' This is where it's all heading. Every hard day, every loss, every struggle — it all leads here. And it's bussin beyond anything we can imagine.
