Psalms 11 — Trust when everything is falling apart

📢 Chapter 11 — God Sees Everything From the Throne 👑

wrote this when people were telling him to cut his losses and run. The threats were real — enemies were literally lining up shots in the dark. But instead of panicking, David looked up. What he saw changed everything.

This is a psalm about when the ground is shaking. When the world feels like it's falling apart and everyone's telling you to flee, where do you plant your feet?

Don't Tell Me to Run 🏔️

David opens with a declaration that sets the tone for the whole psalm — he's not going anywhere:

"In the Lord I take refuge. So why are you telling me to fly away like a bird to the mountains? Look — the wicked are pulling back the bow. They've got their arrows loaded, ready to shoot in the dark at anyone who's trying to live right. If the foundations themselves are destroyed, what can the righteous even do?"

People around David were panicking, and honestly? Their logic made sense. The threats were real. The wicked were on the move. The whole system felt like it was crumbling. But David's response wasn't to match their energy — it was to remember who's actually in charge. When everyone says run, sometimes the most based move is to stand still. 🪨

The Lord Is Watching 👀

Here's why David could stay calm. While the wicked were scheming in the dark, God had a perfect view from above:

"The Lord is in His holy Temple. The Lord's throne is in Heaven. His eyes see everything. His gaze tests every single person. The Lord tests the righteous, but His soul hates the wicked and anyone who loves violence."

God isn't distant or checked out. He's on the throne, and He sees ALL of it — every scheme, every arrow, every heart. He tests the righteous not to break them but to refine them. And the wicked? They're not getting away with anything. They just think they are. 💯

The Final Verdict ⚡

David ends with what's coming for both sides — and it hits different:

"Let Him rain burning coals on the wicked — fire, sulfur, and a scorching wind. That's what's in their cup. Because the Lord is righteous. He loves righteous deeds. The upright will see His face."

That last line is everything. While the wicked get judgment, the upright get something no amount of running could ever give them — they get to see God face to face. That's the whole point. You don't flee FROM danger into hiding. You stand firm in Faith and walk TOWARD the God who sees you, tests you, and ultimately welcomes you into His presence. ✨
