The Parable of the Good Samaritan

A religious expert asks Jesus 'who is my neighbor?' trying to find a loophole in the love commandment. Jesus responds with a story about a man who gets jumped and left for dead. A priest walks by — nothing. A Levite walks by — nothing. Then a Samaritan (the people Jews literally hated) stops, bandages him up, pays for his hotel, and promises to cover any extra costs. Jesus asks 'which one was the neighbor?' The lawyer can't even say the word 'Samaritan' — just mumbles 'the one who showed mercy.' Absolutely wrecked.
