Construction of Persepolis

Darius I began constructing Persepolis around 518 BCE as the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. The ruins still slap — massive stone columns, intricate reliefs showing delegations from every corner of the empire bringing tribute. It's basically a stone Instagram showing how powerful Persia was. UNESCO World Heritage site now, and the archaeological evidence is absolutely elite.
