Solomon's Fall

Solomon collected 700 wives and 300 concubines, many from nations God specifically said not to marry. They turned his heart toward their gods — he built shrines for Ashtoreth, Chemosh, and Molek on the hills around Jerusalem. God appeared to Solomon TWICE and he still fumbled. God told him the kingdom would be torn apart after his death, leaving only one tribe for David's sake. The wisest king in history became the cautionary tale. From temple builder to idol enabler. The golden age was over.
