The historic moment in Genesis 3 when humanity first sinned and broke the original creation
Adam and Eve's choice to distrust God in Genesis 3 is the hinge the rest of Scripture turns on. The Fall introduced shame, blame, painful work, broken relationships, and death itself into a creation God had called good. It is also why redemption is the Bible's central story — everything from Genesis 3:15 onward is God moving to undo what was lost.
