God's Word

The revealed truth and commands of God — spoken through prophets and written in Scripture

Definition

The totality of God's revealed communication to humanity — through prophets, Scripture, and ultimately through Jesus (John 1:1-14). More than information, God's Word is described as living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).
