The first five books of the Bible — Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy — also called the Torah or the Books of Moses
These five books form the foundation of the entire Bible. They cover creation, the patriarchs, the Exodus, the giving of the Law at Sinai, and Israel's wilderness wandering. Jewish tradition attributes them to Moses, though scholars debate the details of authorship. When Jesus says "the Law" or "Moses," he's referring to these books.
