A dealer in purple cloth from Thyatira, living in Philippi. Paul met her at a riverside prayer meeting (Acts 16:13-15). 'The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul.' She was baptized along with her household and immediately opened her home to the missionaries. The church at Philippi — one of Paul's favorites — likely began in her house.
