A fortified town in the tribal inheritance of Naphtali in lower Galilee
GalileeAdamah was one of the fortified towns of Naphtali, named in the boundary catalog of the tribe's Galilee inheritance (Joshua 19:36): "and Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor." The town appears alongside the well-known Naphtali strongholds of Ramah and Hazor, suggesting it was a substantial fortified site somewhere in the lower Galilee. The exact identification is uncertain; some scholars connect it with Khirbet ed-Damiyeh near the Sea of Galilee, while others place it further northwest near Ramah. Not to be confused with Adam on the Jordan or Adami-nekeb on the Naphtali border.
