Adamah

Adamah was one of the fortified towns of Naphtali, named in the boundary catalog of the tribe's Galilee inheritance (Joshua 19:36): "and Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor." The town appears alongside the well-known Naphtali strongholds of Ramah and Hazor, suggesting it was a substantial fortified site somewhere in the lower Galilee. The exact identification is uncertain; some scholars connect it with Khirbet ed-Damiyeh near the Sea of Galilee, while others place it further northwest near Ramah. Not to be confused with Adam on the Jordan or Adami-nekeb on the Naphtali border.
