Asia Minor

The region covering modern-day Turkey — home to many early churches

Modern-day Turkey

About This Place

The large peninsula that is now Turkey. It was home to dozens of early Christian churches including Ephesus, Colossae, Galatia, and the seven churches addressed in Revelation. Paul did extensive missionary work here, and many New Testament letters were written to churches in this region.

Chapters Mentioning Asia Minor

1 Peter

Your Inheritance Can't Be Touched

Peter writes to scattered believers going through it and reminds them their inheritance is imperishable, their trials are refining their faith like gold, and the salvation they have is so elite that even angels are trying to get a closer look.

1 Peter

Stay Ready When the Heat Comes

Peter tells persecuted believers to stop living for the old life and start using their gifts to serve each other. When suffering hits, don't be shook — it's not a glitch, it's part of the process. Trust the Creator and keep doing good.

Acts

The Jailbreak That Changed Everything

Paul recruits Timothy, the Holy Spirit literally reroutes the whole mission trip, and then Paul and Silas get beaten and thrown in jail — only to start a worship session so fire that God sends an earthquake to break the chains. The jailer goes from almost ending it all to getting baptized that same night.

Acts

Paul's Ephesus Era Was Absolutely Unhinged

Paul rolls into Ephesus and finds believers running on outdated software. God starts doing wild miracles through him, some wannabe exorcists get absolutely cooked by a demon, and the whole city has a massive bonfire of their magic books. No cap, this chapter is unhinged.

Acts

The Kid Who Fell Out the Window and Paul's Final Goodbye

Paul goes on a farewell tour, some kid falls asleep during his sermon and literally falls out a third-story window (he's fine), and then Paul drops one of the most emotional goodbye speeches in the entire Bible. Tissues required.

Acts

Paul's Final Boss Level: Jerusalem

Paul keeps heading to Jerusalem even though literally everyone tells him not to go. Prophets warn him, friends beg him, but he's locked in. He gets there, tries to play nice with the religious crowd, and still ends up getting jumped in the Temple.

Acts

The Shipwreck That Couldn't Stop the Mission

Paul gets shipped off to Rome as a prisoner, warns everyone the voyage is a terrible idea, and nobody listens. A catastrophic storm hits, all hope is lost, but God sends an angel with a promise. The ship goes down but every single person survives. Plot armor is real when God writes the script.

Acts

When the Church Had to Level Up Its Org Chart

The early church hits its first internal drama when Greek-speaking widows get left out. The apostles delegate like leaders and seven men step up — including Stephen, who starts going so hard that religious leaders literally can't handle it and have to make stuff up to take him down.

Revelation

The Vision That Changed Everything

John is exiled on Patmos when he gets hit with the most unreal vision of all time. Jesus shows up looking like nothing anyone's ever seen — eyes like fire, voice like a waterfall, face like the sun. This is the intro to the whole book of Revelation, and it goes hard from the very first line.

Revelation

Jesus Left Reviews for the Churches

Jesus drops personalized messages to four churches — and He's not holding back. Some get praised, some get called out, and all of them get a promise for those who stay faithful. It's giving performance review from the King of Kings.

Revelation

The Throne Room Nobody Was Ready For

A door opens in heaven and John gets pulled into the most overwhelming vision of all time. A throne, twenty-four elders, creatures covered in eyes, and worship so intense it never stops. This is what's behind the curtain.
