The Jezreel Valley site Jehu pursued King Ahaziah of Judah toward after the slaying of Jezreels king
Jezreel ValleyBeth-haggan ("house of the garden") was a site in the southern Jezreel Valley toward which Jehu pursued King Ahaziah of Judah after the slaying of King Joram at Jezreel: "But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there" (2 Kings 9:27). The "garden house" is a literal translation of Beth-haggan. The site is identified with the modern Israeli town of Jenin (ancient En-gannim) on the southern edge of the Jezreel Valley.
