A Judean hill country town in the catalog of Calebs inheritance south of Hebron
Judean Hill CountryDannah ("judgment") was a Judean hill country town named in Joshua 15:49 in the catalog of the eleven cities of the southern hill country district: "And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah, which is Debir, And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim." The town appears only in this single boundary list and is uncertain in location. It lay in the hill country south of Hebron, in the cluster of small farming and shepherding settlements that ran south through the highlands toward the Negev frontier. The site is sometimes identified with Idna or Idhna about 13 km west of Hebron.
