The "hill of God" near Geba where Saul met a band of prophets and prophesied himself just after Samuel anointed him king
BenjaminGibeath-elohim ("the hill of God") was a Benjaminite high place near Geba where Samuel told the newly-anointed Saul he would encounter a band of prophets coming down with psaltery, tabret, pipe, and harp and would prophesy with them: "After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines... a company of prophets coming down from the high place... and they shall prophesy" (1 Samuel 10:5-6). When the encounter happened exactly as Samuel had predicted, "the spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them," giving rise to the proverb "Is Saul also among the prophets?" The site lay in central Benjamin near Geba and Gibeah.
