A wilderness encampment east of Edom — Israel's stop after Punon
EdomOboth was one of the wilderness stations recorded in Numbers 21:10-11 and Numbers 33:43-44, on Israel's route around Edom in the Transjordan. Israel camped here after leaving Punon and before continuing to Iye-abarim on the border of Moab. The name means "water-skins" or "ancestral spirits," possibly indicating a watering point on the desert route. Its exact location is uncertain but likely lay in the steppe east of the Arabah, north of the Wadi Zered.
