"You worked with my father David and sent him cedar to build his house. Do the same for me. I'm about to build a house for the name of the Lord my God — dedicated to Him for burning incense, for the showbread, for Sabbath burnt offerings, new moon celebrations, and all the appointed feasts ordained forever for Israel.
The house I'm building will be great, because our God is greater than all gods. But real talk — who can actually build a house for Him? Heaven, even the highest heaven, can't contain Him. Who am I to build Him a house? It's just a place to make offerings before Him.
So send me a man skilled in gold, silver, bronze, iron, and in purple, crimson, and blue fabrics — someone trained in engraving — to work alongside the skilled craftsmen David my father already set up in Judah and Jerusalem.
Also send cedar, cypress, and algum timber from Lebanon. Your people are elite at cutting timber — no cap. My servants will work alongside yours to prepare wood in abundance, because this house will be great and wonderful.
For your workers I'll provide: 20,000 cors of crushed wheat, 20,000 cors of barley, 20,000 baths of wine, and 20,000 baths of oil."
