The moon and stars to rule the night — His love endures forever.

Every sunrise, every starry night — that's not random. That's Providence. The same love that spoke galaxies into existence is the same love pointed at you right now. That hits different. ✨

Psalms 136:10-15 (ESV) Now the psalm shifts from creation to rescue — and the highlight reel turns to Egypt.

To Him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt — His love endures forever. And brought Israel out from among them — His love endures forever. With a strong hand and an outstretched arm — His love endures forever. To Him who divided the Red Sea in two — His love endures forever. And made Israel pass through the midst of it — His love endures forever. But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the sea — His love endures forever.

Quick pause — the same love that made sunsets also dropped ten plagues on an empire and split an ocean in half. God's love isn't soft. It's powerful enough to destroy everything standing between Him and His people. That's not vibes. That's Redemption. 🔥

Psalms 136:16-22 (ESV) God didn't just rescue Israel and peace out. He walked them through the wilderness, handled every enemy in their path, and delivered the Promised Land.

To Him who led His people through the wilderness — His love endures forever. To Him who struck down great kings — His love endures forever. And took out mighty kings — His love endures forever. Sihon, king of the Amorites — His love endures forever. And Og, king of Bashan — His love endures forever. And gave their land as an Inheritance — His love endures forever. A heritage to Israel His servant — His love endures forever.

Sihon and Og had no plot armor. When God's people were on their main quest, no king — no matter how mighty — could stop what God had planned. The land wasn't earned. It was given. That's Grace before grace had a name. 💯

Psalms 136:23-26 (ESV) The psalm closes with something deeply personal. It zooms out from ancient history and lands right where you are.

It is He who remembered us in our low estate — His love endures forever. And rescued us from our enemies — His love endures forever. He who gives food to all living things — His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of heaven — His love endures forever.

This is the part that wrecks you. At your lowest moment — when you felt forgotten, when everything was falling apart — God remembered you. Not because you earned it. Not because you had your life together. He saw you at rock bottom and showed up anyway. That's what steadfast love means. It's not based on your performance. It's based on who He is.
