Proverbs is the Bible's 'how to not ruin your life' manual. Money, marriage, work ethic, friendship, the words that come out of your mouth — all of it, grounded in one foundation: 'The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.' The first nine chapters are extended speeches from a father to a son, personifying Wisdom as a woman calling out in the streets. The rest is a collection of punchy, memorable sayings designed to shape character.
There's a point where ignoring wisdom long enough becomes a permanent L — she literally says 'when disaster hits, I will laugh' because you had your chance and ghosted her.
