Two Amorite kings tried to block Israel's path through the Transjordan and both got absolutely flattened 🛡️
On their way to the Promised Land, Israel asked Sihon king of the Amorites for peaceful passage through his territory. Sihon refused and brought his whole army out to fight at Jahaz. Israel won decisively and took everything from the Arnon to the Jabbok — including Heshbon, Jazer, and all the surrounding villages. Then they turned north and faced Og, the giant king of Bashan, whose iron bed was thirteen feet long. God told Moses 'don't be scared, I've handed him over.' Israel wiped out Og's whole army at Edrei and seized 60 fortified cities across Bashan. This victory secured the entire region east of the Jordan as the inheritance for Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
Israel catches a W against the Canaanites, then immediately starts complaining again and gets snake'd. God provides a wild cure involving a bronze serpent on a pole, and then Israel goes on an absolute conquest spree through Amorite territory.
DeuteronomyThe Wilderness Had a PurposeMoses breaks down how God was still providing and positioning even during Israel's longest L. Forty years of consequences, nations God said don't touch, and then the green light that changed everything — proof that obedience training has a payoff.
DeuteronomyWhen God Said "You Can Look But You Can't Cross"Moses keeps the recap going — Israel claps Og the giant king of Bashan, divides up the conquered land, and then Moses tells how God said no to his one request. The hardest L of his whole career, no cap.
