The man whose house hosted the Ark of the Covenant for twenty years
open_in_newAfter the Philistines returned the Ark of the Covenant, it was brought to Abinadab's house on the hill in Kiriath-jearim, where it stayed for about twenty years (1 Samuel 7:1-2). His son Eleazar was consecrated to guard it. The Ark stayed there until David eventually moved it to Jerusalem.
