A son of Bela in Benjamin's genealogy — also the famous Aramean general healed of leprosy
open_in_newNaaman appears in Scripture as both a grandson of Benjamin in the tribal genealogies (Genesis 46:21, Numbers 26:40) and, most famously, as the Syrian army commander healed of leprosy by the prophet Elisha (2 Kings 5). His healing story stands as a powerful example of faith crossing ethnic and national boundaries, and Jesus later referenced it as a sign of God's grace extending to all people (Luke 4:27).
