A Moabite town named in Jeremiahs great oracle of judgment against Moab
MoabBeth-diblathaim ("house of two cakes") was a Moabite town named in Jeremiah's great oracle of judgment against Moab (Jeremiah 48:22): "And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim, And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon." The prophet catalogs the cities of Moab one by one as the announcement of coming destruction. Beth-diblathaim is possibly the same site as Almon-diblathaim (Numbers 33:46-47), a wilderness camp on Israel's route through the plains of Moab. The site lies in the central Moabite plateau east of the Dead Sea.
