A southern Negev town in the catalog of Judahs tribal inheritance
NegevDimonah was a southern Negev town in Judah's tribal inheritance, named in Joshua 15:22 in the catalog of cities "in the south country, by the coast of Edom": "Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah." The same site may appear as "Dibon" in the parallel Negev catalog at Nehemiah 11:25, with the two names representing different scribal traditions for the same southern frontier village. The exact location is uncertain but lay in the Beersheba-area Negev frontier between settled Judah and the Edomite-Amalekite wilderness.
