A future city in Ezekiels vision of the burial of Gogs army after Gods great judgment
Judean DesertHamonah ("multitude") was the name Ezekiel gave to a future city in the valley where Gog's defeated army would be buried in the prophet's great eschatological vision: "And there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog... And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land" (Ezekiel 39:11, 16). The name (Hebrew Hamonah, "multitude") echoes the immense scale of the defeated invading host. The valley and city are eschatological — anchored to the eastern slopes of the Dead Sea or the valley of the travellers east of the sea — and represent the cleansing of the land after the final apocalyptic invasion.
