Jotbah

Jotbah enters the biblical record as the hometown of Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz, the queen mother of King Amon and grandmother of King Josiah: "Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah" (2 Kings 21:19). The town is commonly identified with Khirbet Jefat (Yodfat) in Lower Galilee about nine miles north of Nazareth — the same site that would later become the heroic last stand of the Jewish revolt under Josephus in 67 CE.
