Also known as Kadesh Barnea. Israel camped here twice. Moses sent twelve spies from here; when ten gave a terrifying report, the people refused to enter Canaan (Numbers 13-14). Moses later struck the rock here instead of speaking to it (Numbers 20:1-13).
