A small promontory on the Asia Minor coast where Paul's ship anchored overnight between Samos and Miletus
Asia MinorHistorically Verified
Coastal promontory matching the route from Samos to Miletus; included in Byzantine manuscript readings of Acts 20:15
Acts 20:15 in certain manuscript traditions notes that after passing Samos, Paul's company stayed the night at Trogyllium before reaching Miletus the next day. The reading is included in the Textus Receptus but absent from the earliest manuscripts, which is why most modern translations omit it. The promontory was a known stopover for coastal sailing along the Aegean coast of Asia Minor.
